Great espresso, and love that they serve it Italian style with a sparkling water. Nice, quiet atmosphere with plenty of tables and big windows.
Finally, a coffee shop that does not have a boring tea menu! I was so impressed they had 10 different teas with various varieties, and then they steeped it with a timer. I saw incredible artwork that the Reece were doing with local mochas and cafe drinks. It was such a fun experience going here. They actually have a Chemex and a coffee that you can get that’s made with a Chemex set up, I was impressed by that. This is a great place to take friends to talk. The only negative aspect that I could find with this location is that I couldn’t find a power source easily in a wall if you are working on your laptop.
Local coffee roaster close to the airport, recommend the stop! They also make their own baked goods, scones, muffins wtc, some gluten free!
Quiet on a Sunday morning. Fresh baked cinnamon roll, she warmed it up for us. Great service. Good coffee. Nice location.
Best lattes in town! Not overly sweet, espresso beans fresh and not over roasted, & espresso shots pulled without having a bitter or burnt taste. The lattes are always consistent in taste and quality. I wish I would have known about this place much sooner!
It felt good to get back to SteamDot since having last enjoyed their coffee in 2019. As on my previous visit, this visit found the employees exceedingly helpful and knowledgeable about the coffee they were serving and how to best prepare it. This is the kind of specialty coffee shop I seek out when I travel. If you enjoy coffee and all its nuances I highly recommend you sample the offerings at SteamDot. Great baristas, great atmosphere, and great coffee.
Love the feel of SteamDot! Their chalkboard explains the various kinds of coffee preparations so (especially newbies like me) folks know what will be best for their drink. I had a great White Mocha, and apparently they make the white chocolate ganache in house (a nice touch!). The cherry on top for me (please withhold judgment if this is not for you) is that they played a variety of Taylor Swift songs for the entirety of my visit, almost as if they knew I was coming in. Coffee places should make you feel at home and SteamDot definitely does!
Best coffee in Anchorage by far. We have many locally owned coffee places that fall in second place, but steamdot beats all by quality, passion and taste.
